You Had Me At Wes Anderson.

If you watch the first few seconds of the trailer, movie, web site, or even its movie poster, you'd think they're trying too hard to be Wes Anderson (The film is not directed by Wes Anderson, but did a fine good job). True. But these days, even Wes Anderson becoming too Wes Anderson. And neither is far from a bad thing. Adventures in the Sin Bin is a loose adaptation of "The Apartment" set back in the 60s (or so from Wikipedia), but it definitely has a lot more heart then your average coming-of-age youth story. It's strong points are its script, its acting, and the art direction that makes you question if it is set in the 60s, which it actually is not (which is weird because it creatively keeps the newest of technologies out like land lines instead of smartphones / polaroids instead of... well smartphones). Just watch the trailer, and maybe find it on Netflix so you know what I'm talking about.

Getting Lost in the Bayou.

A good composition of minimalistic dialogue and masterful scenery of New Orleans, the directing touch of Jim Jarmusch with his constant theme of a foreigner in a foreign land and close to noir feel to it, Down by Law is something majestic and tasteful.  He makes independent filmmaking as easy as a smile. And i have to say, he's made me chuckle a bit.

Nobody Takes a Photo of Something They Want to Forget.

From time to time, I watch movies for plot, entertainment, artistic value, and other mumbo-jumbo. But for the last month, I've been hooked on this film released back in 2002, called One Hour Photo. Starring Robin Williams, the movie on the outside is a straight forward stalker-thriller, but after reading a few reviews and other bloggers talk about the movie, I became more intrigued. There's a lot more to it then just what's given straight forward to you, as the film is more of a painting of the character Robin Williams portrays. The cinematography and the symbolism from almost every scene catches your eye like a gemstone in a row of plastic, and the film itself is an immaculate tessellate. I could explain a lot about it, but i can't say what's already haven't been said. Follow the rabbit hole...

Cloning is Hilariously Dramatic.

I'm a nerd when it comes to spacey sci-fi movies.
So its an added bonus when they have Kevin Spacey in the mix.
Awesomely awesome.

FYI, Kevin Spacey's the robot, not the dude.

The legend that is oh, so awesome.
That's why in the trailer,

Lords of Yeast and Dairy-anous Products.

I thought it was a pretty good movie.
Go watch it, though your ways of illegal downloading.
(But do that on your own time.)

I could go for some country balls.
Heard they taste pretty sweet.
Just wonder how they glue it together.

The Room.

In the past, their have been some great movies that defines history, my friends: Howard the Duck, The Incredible Melting Man, and who could forget Plan 9 From Outer Space! But, my friends, this movie is an instant classic! The Room features drama and suspense from the brilliant acting of its crew and experienced directing and editing crew. My friends, it will knock you off your feet, it sends chills and thrills down you mind. People all around the world applaude it's great genius and its screenwriting craft is just pure brillance! Before you go throwing around that football, my friends, go this movie as soon as you can, my friends. Go see it!

(Note: Everything above is pure saracasm. In reality, the Room is concidered THE worst film of all time, however people do see it because it IS so bad. Oh, and the 'my friends' is a reference from the intro to Plan 9. The one below is one from the movie.)
