Is Life a Farce or Just a Malicious Comedy?

I read the story of girl committed to an insane asylum at the young age of 25. She was outgoing and friendly, and showed no signs of mental illness. However the doctors were convinced she was crazy, so they gave shock treatment. Soon after a few shock sessions, she became soon idle, unsociable, and not the same person she used to be. Eventually, she was lobotomized, which only made here mental state worse, as she became mute, unresponsive, and pretty much what you'd expect from someone who'd been lobotomized. For the 45 years of her life, she'd would stare at walls and wonder aimlessly; Only the shell of here former-self.

The reason why this story in particular is so fascinating to me, was because she completely sane when she was checked in. No different from anyone of the norm. The only reason she was checked in was she wanted to move away from her parents entanglements and lead an individual life to her own. But her parents refused and decided to send her to the loony bin.

This is the story of Gennie Pilarski.

Put a Lid on Shirley Temple, for He Makes A Sleek Drink.

A master at his craft. But for those of you who don't know, that's Arnold Palmer. If you still don't get the joke, that's totally cool, but you should probably read more.

The One Who Murdered Slain for Their Blood.

I was reading up on Elizabeth Bathory, and I know read her article a few years back, but I came back to it and wanted to remember it for later. She was a royal back in the 16th century in current day Hungary, where she was obsessed of looking young forever. To this end, she had murdered and slain over 300 young girls and poured their blood into a bathtub where she would soak in it, in the hope this would keep her young. Because of her high nobility, she herself was not sent to death or chained in prison, but was to be house arrested in her castle for the rest of her life. She's the real life processor to mystics like Dracula and vampires. So I thought, that's pretty cool.
